Puzzle #247 solution:
Lechtinsky – Pachman, 1968. I got 4 very good responses, each one missing something and because of that not being able to collect all points. Out of these answers I selected for publication the one sent by Anya:
a) Material: Black is up a bishop.
About the king:
1. Both kings have castle kingside and then moved into the corner.
2.Whites king is safer than blacks king because
-Whites queen is attacking the black king from coming out.
-The f6-pawn might also be dangerous.
-The white queen, the pawn, the e4 night, and the bishop all might be a little dangerous to blacks king.
-Black is not really aiming for the white king (except the bishop is a little bit in white's space.)
3. The white queen is being attacked by the rook on g8. The queen can move to h5, can take the h6-pawn check, can go to h7, and many other places.
b) Solution:
