Black is up an exchange (Rook for a Bishop), while White has a castled King and has managed to pin the d7-Rook and take advantage of the uncastled Black King. It is White to move. Your tasks:
a) Decide what White should do here and explain
b) Present the best line for White you can think of

Total available points for this puzzle is 20. The answers will be published next week together with puzzle #243.

Puzzle #241 solution:
"Chess tactics for students #279", Bains. Answer by Coco:
a) I think this is a middle game position because most of the pieces on each side had developed from their starting position
b) The direct threat on the board is: the Black Queen is threatening to win a bishop by doing Qxd3. White is threatening to take advantage of the Kingside and mate the Black King
c) White stands better because:
1.It's pieces are more focussed on attacking the Black King.
2.The Black King is left unprotected and its pieces are attacking the side opposite of the White King.
3.Black's b6-Bishop is pretty useless compared to White's f6-Bishop on the long diagonal and the f7-pawn is left unprotected.
