In this position you have to do the following:
a) List all pieces under attack on both sides, together with who is attacking them
b) You are Black: choose which piece under attack to defend and how
c) Play the best continuation for Black. How does it end?
Total available points for this puzzle is 15. The answers will be published next week together with puzzle #237.
Puzzle #235 solution:
Game Wall - Tauber, Los Angeles 1969. There were quite a few good answers, but not the best answers for all 3 questions. Bradley was the closest for (b) and (c):
a) See solution below. Quite a few missed the fact Black is losing its Queen.
b) 8... Be6 is a good move because it breaks the pressure on the Knight
c) 5... d5 is bad because it stops protecting the e5-pawn
5... d5 also is bad because it moves the same pawn twice in a row
