We have seen how correct exchanges at the right time can easily turn the game in your favour. However what do you do when there are no exchanges available at the time like in this position? I guess you need to imagine what would be preferable and create them! Your tasks:
a) Analyse the position for both sides and decide on the best plan for White
b) Verify the plan and prove its value by finding the best line you can think of

Puzzle #218 solution:
Game Keres – Pilnik, Budapest, 1950. The analysis was all over the place from so-so to very good; however the solutions proposed were not nearly as good as needed. Here is James analysis:
a) White has many advantages like he still has his two Bishops which would excel in the endgame but not so well placed, a Rook+Queen battery behind a passed, a pawn on the 7th rank which is worth as much as a Rook, the Black Bishop and Knight are not really doing anything, the immobilized Rook in front of White's passed pawn and he's up by one pawn.
b) Solution:
