a) The opening name is Evans Gambit, being invented in the 1820s by Captain William Davies Evans. It also is white's most direct attacking line in the Giuoco Piano. The first 3 moves are Giuoco Piano (Italian Opening), then 4. b4 ... turns it into Evans Gambit. White sacrifices a pawn = gambit
