Pawn

The lowest valued chessⁱ pieceⁱ that is worth one point. A pawnⁱ moves one squareⁱ forwards, but can moveⁱ two if it is on its second rankⁱ and has not moved yet. It captures other pieces in a forward diagonal way. When it reaches its eight rankⁱ, it can be promoted to any pieceⁱ except another pawnⁱ, or a Kingⁱ.
